We are pleased to have Eugene M Lisa from Verde Interior Products
in an on-going series of Environmental Education. Mr Lisa has been in the
commercial furnishings industry since 1973, and involved with “Green” products
and materials since 1992. He regularly lectures at NeoCon Chicago, NeoCon
Baltimore, West Coast Green, IDEX and various IIDA and ASID events, as well as
Federal Government Conferences. He has addressed more than 7,000 Interior Design
, Facilities and Procurement Professionals This lecture will offer a very
different perspective of what is “GREEN”. Can a “certified” green product also
contain know human carcinogens? Can using a recycled material have “no
effect” on environmental stewardship ? Is designing for LEED Credits designing
for the environment? What do Certification Programs Cover?
These topics and others will be explored. The Architect /
Designer / Facilities Manager / Purchasing Officer / User will be better
equipped to understand how to make a more informed decision and attain better
skills in dealing with vendors.
